I just heard on the Armstrong and getty radio that reservations are no longer needed to drive through Yosemite. Trust but verify. Check it out if true. I already paid for a reservation for Oct 22.
Here's one on Lake Havasu up through the gorge on the east side of the river. You can only see it if you are on a boat (or swimming).
About 2 or 3' high from water level.
Took a trip to Arizona over the weekend. On the way home we ran part of the Mojave trail to Travelers Monument. Good trip, nice and dry, 108' on the dry lake.
All different covers are prone to damage especially the front. Its one of the lowest parts on a vehicle, get rubbed over rocks, logs... They are normally made from thin metal. Its not a jeep thing its only more jeeps are in the dirt. IMHO.
Purchased a used shell a couple months ago, had it painted to match the truck. Made a rack from 80/20 1020 1"x2" and 1"x1" with 2"x1/4" aluminum sides. Added an ARB awning to the zr2 this morning.
Now I don't need to carry a free standing awning In the back of the truck anymore.
