I agree they were terrible last year, until you got across the water into the dunes. Then there were no more mosquitoes. The mountains above the dunes did not get a heavy snowpack this year, hopefully that will reduce the amount that are present.

US Rocky Mountain Cloverdale Mine Trail with Rainbow Lake & More!

My thought was to find a campsite on the way to the meetup spot that put us within a 1hr maximum drive time for the morning meetup Saturday. That way anybody that can't leave until after work, does not have to set up in the dark. If somebody is able to get a spot and guide us all in for the...

I think there is a little of everything out there. JDGreen has explored the area more than any of us; I was on a trail run in the area last Sunday, therefore that is the extent of my knowledge. Carlo rig is stock height, so that determines what we can do and if we need to turn around.

@carlo_donz, @JDGreens and I are thinking of exploring south of Deckers, CO Saturday, and finding a spot to camp into Sunday if you are interested. @Iridium I think is looking to explore a trail in Fort Collins area Saturday, might reach out to him and see.

I agree the area is magnificent. I have been there a few times, but have barely explored the region. If you ever plan to go, let me know I would be happy to go back.

Lucky you, but I did read an article that WY is also not letting non-residents get camping spots. Do you know is it just for state parks? Also, do you go to Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest at all?

If it is, are your dates set in stone so I can add it to my calendar to keep it visible on my end?

I am thinking about it. If it is closed then the Peak to Peak Hwy is always a nice easy drive with good views.

Are you sure the area is open? Boulder followed Denver with extending their closure. Boulder County Extends Stay-At-Home Order Through May 8 - Boulder County https://www.trailsoffroad.com/trails/474-switzerland-trail

Do you still have the hi-lift wheel attachment ?

If you are stock your front points are only meant for tie-downs, but in an emergency could be used. I believe @Fortis Overland , @carlo_donz, @NoCo4Rnr have upgraded theirs and can provide better guidance than I can.
