Looks like you guys had a great time! Even the flat lol! We did our obligatory flat on day 1. We're looking forward to getting out around St. George and the canyon areas in general in the next year or so. Just got an invite to go in mid October, but the rig won't quite be ready.
I don't have enough experience to say for sure. So lol... I have read that Fox shocks are mass produced, tuned (also know this from mountain bikes and Fox can be tricky getting parts for suspension components over a few years old. And it's very hard to speak to a person for help) and can be...
Super fun 3 day ride weekend with some friends that came up to Tahoe from Camarillo. Check out Freshie's in South lake if you're into some amazing Hawaiian style food. Their fish taco platters and bread pudding is not too shabby! They've been here forever too. Good people and good food.
Still...
Man that's a nice looking excursion! Playing with diesels is fun. Before the 06 6.0 I'm driving now I had an 2000 7.3 f250 that was a lot of fun. It was my DD too. I'm not sure where the torque and HP was, but it did 12.98 @104 up here around 4,000' elevation. I only got the one run though lol...
The electrical reliability and availability is why I don't have any more 7.3's. But they've treated me very well over the years and I'd definitely run them again in their healthy years. If the electrical stuff was more readily available, I'd probably still have my last one. Dang I miss that...
I think it's great that there's so many different things for us to have fun on pedaling around. Granted I like mountain bikes, but honestly if it pedals, I'm interested lol! Enjoy the ride . Here's a picture of me and Ollie playing bikes on one of our recent trips. I like the challenge too...
Tug is starting to go through some changes. Stoked! We're getting her ready to go down to four wheel campers end of the month to get a flatbed hawk installed.
We're waiting on suspension and wheels still. COVID is an amazing hindrance from manufacturers down to shipping these days, but it is...
Thanks for that info too. I'm taking notes lol! Probably not a bad idea to address that stuff too, after 175000 miles. We're the second owners, but thankfully the truck seems it was well maintained.
Thanks and good to hear! Glad your trip went well too. We ended up ordering a Carli 4.5" Pintop system today and are looking forward to getting her out. With any luck we'll have her set up in a few weeks. Thanks again for the input The Roach!
Sorry for the slow reply on my end lol. It's an 06 f350 and I ended up ordering a Carli system today. Regardless though what were your thoughts? I'm just soaking up whatever I can Haha!
Great thread and very cool to see how many full sized rigs are running.
Here's our starting point. This is Tug, because her previous life was a lot of towing and work. Now it's a more fun kind of work that she'll be doing. The drivers side boxes hold MTB gear, recovery and tools for work and...
Good morning. We're looking at putting 37's on the rig and are starting to look at suspension systems.
Does anybody have experience or recommendations? So far, I've looked at Carli and ICON, but honestly don't know enough about the product itself, support etc lol! Probably going 4.5" mid level...
Here’s a few pictures from an adventure we took Friday. Up Cold Creek, then up Monument Pass to the Tahoe Rim Trail. It was a no rush on anything day, so we really enjoyed ourselves.
Things are opening up here, so we’re gearing up to get away next weekend.
Stay safe and stoked everyone
Side...
Oh man, good call on your part! That looks like a day well spent with Daisy. Beautiful area too. It’s good seeing people getting out and spending some time outdoors and being safe about it. Thanks for sharing the good times!
