Wow! Huge question…
I definitely would not do another Tacoma simply due to the challenges of fitting larger tires and the horribly sculpted seat.
Jeep Gladiator, Ford Bronco, Wrangler, and Ranger would all be in the running.
Making progress on the cab mount chop, but still have a ways to go. Big push to finish that this weekend. New (larger) tires going on next Friday.
Just a little over 4 weeks to my trip, it’s crunch time!
Thanks!
Looking forward to seeing you and Michelle again as well.
I have a block of time in July and another in August. Trying to decide where to go...
Even if you can't make this one, please speak up in the forum if you would join when you can.
I'm hoping to create a regular meetup event.

Looks like we're in the vicinity of Banbury Hot Springs
@MarshallC is running that segment of the trip
I have a Garmin inReach Mini, so yes we can connect. Let's share those numbers DM though
I live near Olympia, WA so I need almost all of Sunday to get home. I'll be peeling off NLT 10:00 am...
Hey Crew. We're still 6 weeks out. As I do more research and planning, I'm concerned that there won't be enough hours in the day on Wednesday. Please speak up if you oppose skipping Christmas valley and the Lava beds south of Paulina Lake. I'm thinking we find the A-6 Crash site on Monday, then...
Also...
I posted a GPX of the planned route through the Owyhees. 425 miles is too long for 2 days to truly enjoy the area. Especially if we are going to try to do the 3 mile hike in Juniper Gulch, hit a hot spring or two, and try to spot the Pronghorn herd.
Just so you're aware, that will mean...
Installed seat jackers. Deleted the jumper seat on the driver side of my Tacoma. Will build a platform for my new fridge, and get it wired next weekend.
Only 6 weeks until my first big trip of the season!
Definitely looking to do some weekend trips. Lots I want to see in North cascades.
Still have one more year of my son being in marching band, so fall trips will be infrequent.
I get bored and lonely after a few days alone too. My wife isn't interested in overloading, and I haven't successfully negotiated a deal to get a dog I can bring in the house yet.
So, I plan ahead and post trips here. I usually get a few takers and have people to meet and chat with.
