Just got back from the long Canada trip and back to work on Monday. I should be able to assess the work "damage" and let you know what I can do as far as mee
I sleep fine in mine at 6'5", but occasionally you want to stretch and then go back to sleep, so I do a diagonal stretch thing. At 15 feet, the 5x8 is as long as I wanted to go for maneuverability and weight.
Possibly, but I didn't really want to commit to it yet because I've got some work issues to work around with the festival this year so I don't know yet when I'll be heading up. I should know better once I get back from Canada in a few weeks.
The Shadow Awn is hands down the best awning I've ever used. I would go with almost the same setup, but I think I overbuilt the extra braces. Doing it over again, I feel like some stronger hardware and drilling new holes in the Awn frame bolting directly two the Awn Lock brackets would work fine.
As 1Lounder said above, the purifier pulls water from an outside source which can be virtually anything freshwater. So I can back up to a river, lake, or stream and drop a line in the water. It pumps water from the source through two sediment filters and then a UV filter to kill organic...
You might be able to get away with a galley side slideout in. Tembo Tusk makes them. Option 2, and probably the cheapest is tongue box. Just get a top opener large enough to give you access to controls. But my own personal preference if you're only running one fridge/freezer has always been...
Being honest, the only fridge / freezer I have direct experience with is ARB, owning 2. They are sealed and there's a plug in the bottom for easy cleaning when necessary. I don't know if Engel's have the same plug or not, but I would guess something similar exists. A good fridge should be...
I'd definitely be in for going, especially since VT and NH were cut at the last minute from our Northeast Expedition next month. Summer is pretty hectic with personal plans and then festivals. If we could avoid Mid Atlantic Overland Festival on Aug 10- 13th that'd be great. I would vote for...
Went last year. Planning on going this year. It's a HUGE open area on a farm and camping (last year) was mostly divided into two groups: quiet /private and louder and more clustered. It's smaller so don't expect anything near Expo size or attendance. Most people tend to already know each...
Been crazy busy recently and haven't been able to check back here as often as I like but I'd be in for this and I'm sure a few others in the area would be too. Following thread.
Just wanted to share the recap of our trip... We had an outstanding time and made some great friends along the way. The MSO team is so down-to-earth and have something really good going. I only hope I can emulate a part of their talent in capturing our trip northeast next month. EDIT- I added...
Oh... the cross bars are custom I believe. The logo cutout is an H and a T. I think Randy (@Lead Dog ) could probably answer that one for you. I had Wes reinforce mine to handle extra weight, so there's actually a backside (interior) steel panel on mine too.
Oh yes. It depends on speed. And keep in mind that my tow vehicle is shaped like a brick to begin with and the trailer is now loaded down with batteries and water. I loose about 2 mpg if I don't push it and max out at 65mph. If I push 70-75 I lose about 4 mpg. I'm also running 4.10 gears so...
