  • Boy do I feel dumb. Mogollon Rim access to entrance of Section 4 of AZBDR doesn’t open until April . Going to do a bypass of 2/3 of this section.
At the beginning of Section 4 of AZBDR and it’s snowing pretty well. Road is closed. Hope it opens tomorrow.
Beginning of Section#2, AZBDR, out of Benson was closed . Routing north thru Tuscon and picking up the BDR in Mammoth, AZ.
Having a blast! Only 10 minutes from Benson which is the end of the 1st section of AZBDR. Airing up tires now. Gorgeous country.
Arrived in Benson, AZ last evening. Spent the night in a Walmart PL. Now on our way to start point of AZBDR.
Getting ready for my AZBDR trip. Currently downloading AZBDR .gpx files from my MacBook Pro into my iPad in the event I don't have any cell coverage. I'm then bluetoothing my Garmin InReach to my iPad and using it as my digital map. I have my iPhone, Garmin Zumo, paper maps and a compass as back-ups. I'm getting pretty psyched up about this trip.
Today I had the Extreme PowerStop Z36 brake kit installed on my Tacoma. Time will tell how well these brakes perform.

I will; heading out in 9 days to run the Arizona Backcountry Discovery Route. Will see how it does.
Worked today on my packing lists and arrangement of gear/equipment in preparation for our trip out west.
Arranging my drawer system contents so that everything is in the right place and maximizes space. If it’s not a need it’s gets 86’d - with some exceptions ;)
Added 8 tie down anchors rings yesterday. I have a set of Decked Tie Down racks coming next week. I prefer to have some good anchor points to secure my stuff in the back of the truck. Don't like things moving around, especially the heavy stuff. I got 8 cleats, bolts, and tie down anchor rings from Amazon for $52. They're good quality and fit nicely in the bed racks in my Tacoma.
