I'm a loner by nature so it's always just me and my pooch. My rig is my one and only means of transport so I don't take many chances with it. I know what it can do without tearing anything up.
Being retired, I knew this would be the last vehicle I ever buy. Barring an accident. I decided on the Tacoma because of Toyota's reputation for reliability and longevity. I figure by the time it wears out I'll be too old and senile to be driving anyway. I was also impressed by the large...
I run the Smittybilt X2O 10K winch . I've always had good luck with their products and it's not something I hope I need to use very often. So I decided to save some bucks. So far in 2 years I've used it once. And that was just to pull my brothers van onto a car trailer.
Watching thread. I have been looking for a solution myself. That looks like it might work. Have to slide it over some probably to reach but that's doable.
I just keep mine in my file cabinet. In case any of my friends say that isn't a genuine OB medallion on my rig. I can show them the proof and then get new friends.
It was my personal car and I was kinda hoping they would total it. I'm OCD about knowing my car is not 100% how it left the factory. It was the XSE fully loaded model so worth quite a bit more than 20 grand at the time. Long story short..don't trust the Toyota navigation system too far.
I'm no expert but I personally wouldn't use anything that isn't for the specific purpose as a tow strap. With the weight limit specified. I'm big on safety.
