April 16-18 trip to the Ozark national forest.

Haven't been on this myself but this guy knows his way around the Ozarks. Also look into Byrd's Adventure Center. https://byrdsadventurecenter.com/ https://www.gaiagps.com/datasummary/folder/6b8a0e43-8402-4b84-b854-594422cd8de5/?layer=SatelliteWithLabels,usfs-mvum

    Rendezvous in the Ozarks

To be fair....(Letterkenny anyone?) There are over 500 vehicles attending this year so far. Though that doesn't mean they'll all be camping. If we/ @UploadAdventure can get an estimate of how many vehicles will be we can try and take up as much space as possible ahead of time.

@UploadAdventure Sharing 3 or so groups with you (STL Tacoma Owners on FB, Tacomaworld and here) would be interested in finding a place where we all could meet up or even do some group camping for those interested. Rendezvous in the Ozarks

Fr From what I can tell I'll be one of the early ones there. From what I remember I get little to no signal so if we can plan an area to camp/ stake out ahead of time that'd be cool.

    Rendezvous in the Ozarks

We got there on Friday as well pretty early (7am) and had a hard time finding a decent spot. This year we took an extra day off to get there Thursday early afternoon. Hopefully that should help us beat the rush. I think I asked this before but are any of the STL/midwest guys planning on meeting...

    Reduce bug bites

I figured it wouldn't be perfect. Just something that can be used in the tent for 30 mins or so before actually falling asleep. I rarely get bit overnight but that is because the wife's blood is sweeter than mine.

    Reduce bug bites

Looking for ways to cut back on the bug bites, specifically mosquito bites. Been using a thermocell and good old Off, with pretty good success but looking for something for the tent/evening. Has anyone tried the portable bug zappers or any other method to avoid bites in the night? Looking into...

    Rendezvous in the Ozarks

From what I remember for the primitive sites they are all first come first serve. I think you can reserve electric sites. Last year we paid for camping when we arrived but you have to pay for the event in advance.

    Rendezvous in the Ozarks

I'm sure we walked past your camp area several times. We'd like to get a spot along the river this year. We plan on leaving Thursday morning and getting there sometime between noon and 3. Hopefully that'll give us enough time for a spot but would definitely enjoy sharing a fire with some of the...
