    Stag Hill

I could believe it. Some spots get “high” in elevation. Nyc is not all that far from there.

    Stag Hill

Iv been there once or twice before I really understood the damage wheeling in an illegal place does. But even if the town or county do open up that area for public use, I’m still not certain that it would be a great idea to go there. There are certain groups of people that see that land as...

    Stag Hill

It’s funny you say that. A few years ago we did a pretty decent sized clean up in the pines multiple pickups overflowing with trash. And same as you. No one wanted to take it. We hit every ranger station we could and no one had even a dumpster for us to leave it In. We ended up talking a...

    Dual band ham antenna recommendations

The antenna is fairly stiff. Even at 70 and 80mph on the highway it stands straight up with a slight bend. I only chose it because of where the coil was and the height. The coil is slightly above the roof line. I figured I’d want that as high as I can get it with our mounting it to my roof...

    Dual band ham antenna recommendations

It seems like that’s the antenna I may go with. The spring is a good feature.

    Dual band ham antenna recommendations

Before having a hard mounted gmrs antenna I had a magnet mount I would throw on there. Even a little 8 or 9 inch magnet mount antenna, it would get knocked off a few times in a day offroad

I thought of that. They tend to bend and then just pop off the roof and swing around on their cable

    Dual band ham antenna recommendations

Hello OB community. I’m looking for any recommendations on a new 2m/70cm antenna that’s flexible. Sort of like a whip style that can bend under a limb and not break the antenna or mount. Here’s the whole story behind this. I’m sure this isn’t much of a suprise but my antenna keeps hitting...

    OB HAM Channel

Yep. I forgot what frequency I hit it on. I hit N2ACF pretty easily. There’s a few repeaters in my area. I believe that’s the one I hit on 146.460

    Looking for trails near NYC

I don’t know if it’s New Jersey. It’s the Delaware water gap area. Or they call it the Delaware water gap recreation area. In that same area is hi point state park. Maybe the east side of the Delaware River is New Jersey and the west side is pa. Not really sure.

    Looking for trails near NYC

Iv got a some passed routes mapped out. I might be able to send a link from Gaia later today. It’s mostly just dirt roads. Some Delaware River lookouts. There’s one spot that requires 4low and even a locker depending on the vehicle. When I was there a few weeks ago, a lot was still...
