    Hey Y’all

Totally. I love the look! I was looking to get something similar and I'm having a hard time deciding on what to get. I'm in the Michigan forests and figure that 3db is probably what I should do too. I was looking at the Melowave, Retevis, and Wouxun offerings and wondering if the Midlands...

    Hey Y’all

How do you like it? Did you go with 3db because of being in more forested/obstructed terrain or because of the length?

    Hey Y’all

Welcome! I'm looking to upgrade my GMRS antenna and I'm curious which one you are using. Is it the Retevis, Melowave Overlander, or one of the new Midlands?

Diesel Heater rain cover for all-in-one unit?

I used a copper pipe elbow and short pipe to get my exhaust out the side. I cut some slots in the elbow to get it to fit over the exhaust pipe and then used exhaust sealant on all the connections.

Diesel Heater rain cover for all-in-one unit?

So here are a few pics of the solution I've come up with. A storage tub was just the ticket. I also switched out my hose for a semi-rigid aluminum tube with a couple swivel elbows. I couldn't be happier with the result. On setting 1 of 6, my little un-insulated 5x8 trailer stayed about 65-70...

Diesel Heater rain cover for all-in-one unit?

It may have at first, but nothing really now. However I had a stinking plastic smell with the foul lined flexible dryer hose I was using. I've now switched to aluminum semi-rigid dryer tube from Menards and it works fantastic and no noxious burning plastic smell.

Diesel Heater rain cover for all-in-one unit?

yeah, I have one of those tire steps too just for this. I like that a lot. I have an awning as well, but sometimes the wind is too much for it and wet snow load can be a problem too. So I'm looking to shield mine from the elements.

    Cheap Amazon Diesel heater recommendations?

I have the Vevo all-in-one unit and I'm thinking of using a shallow storage tub upside-down on it ...attached with some wing-nuts would keep the rain and snow off it and prevent it from blowing off. If I use the same tubs as I already use, it should nest with the others and not take up much...

Diesel Heater rain cover for all-in-one unit?

So I decided to try out a diesel heater from Amazon and got an all-in-one unit so I can use it with my Gazelle tent and my little cargo trailer conversion. I've tried it out and love it. My concern is leaving it in the rain and snow. Has anyone come up with an easy (preferably inexpensive)...

Has anyone made the overland bound sleeping platform/drawer system by Parnell?

I would love to know more. I have a drawer and slide system in my 3rd Gen, but always planned to put together a better one.. I would love to see more of your plans.

Battery management with shore power and solar?

I currently have (and really like) the Renogy 30A DC-DC isolater charger with integrated solar. I also have 100A solar on the roof of my truck to keep my 100Ah LifePo4 battery topped off. The trouble is that I live in Michigan and don't have much solar in the winter. It would be nice to use...

Simple 20Lb Propane Rack Mount Solution

Yeah- a bit more complicated than what I'm hoping to do for this application, but I enjoyed reading that. It sparked some ideas.

Simple 20Lb Propane Rack Mount Solution

I love this idea! I'm betting that this would work on the bottom of the tank too. Then I could strap it down directly to the aluminum tongue of my trailer.

    inexpensive 5lb bottle mount?

I'm looking for the same sort of thing. I'm currently using a 9-inch 11 lb tank, but usually the same diameter as 5 lb from what I see. I'm thinking of mounting to the tongue of my trailer. Why is everything so dang expensive? I considered just ratchet strapping it down, but would prefer a...

    Rock Lights? Are they useful?

I'm curious about rock lights. I know that some people use them just for show (and that's cool if it's your thing), but I'm more interested in how helpful they are on the trail and at camp. Those of you who have them, are they worth it? Are they useful? Would you do it again or will you on...
