I've been working on my diesel heater project as well. Picked up a Chinese heater on the Amazons and started modifying it.... Still waiting on a couple of pieces parts but it's almost there.

You don't need a trail rig as the trails are fairly tame. You might want to bring a chainsaw as there may be trees down in some areas. I'm bringing mine.
