Lots of great looking rigs on here!
2017 OFF ROAD. Pretty stock right now but it gets the job done and I love it. So far I've upgraded tires to 265/75/R16 Wildpeak AT/3s and installed Bud Built sliders.
Future plans are some sort of bed system, leaning towards the Diamondback cover with...
Thanks for the quick response. It's great to hear about other's experiences so one can make their own pros and cons list. Looking forward to seeing the GFC on your truck.
I went with the Midland 75-822 for cb and have a Scosche magic mount that I will use to mount it in the cab when I'm using it. Otherwise it lives in the glove box. For the antenna mounting I went with a relentless fab ditch light bracket.
Awesome, I can't wait to see it on the rig. If I may ask, what was the biggest reason for not wanting to pull a trailer? I was hoping to do some sort of rack with a rtt but the wife said if she was going to do long excursions she would prefer a camper so some sort. So that has lead me down the...
I ended up having to go a different route. I unknowingly bought the nso mount with a 3/4 in hole instead of a 1/2 in hole. I was also having problems grounding so I just got a ditch light bracket from relentless fab and put the antenna up there. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did.
This thread is great. I grew up in the Ark City/Winfield area and have spent a lot of time on the back roads around the Dexter area. I leav this Friday to meet a group to run the Kickapoo Trail. This would be a lot closer for me. Thanks for posting and to everyone and their insight. Hopefully...
Did you have any problems tuning your antenna? I have the same set up and can’t gwt my SWR reading out of the red. Wondering if it’s a grounding issue. Thanks in advance.
From what I saw it’s a little bit on the plastic underneath and it’s pretty minimal. One thing that also appealed to me about the warn bumper is the hoop appeared to be a little higher than the SSO bumper so I feel like it would protect the grill a little better, maybe. Just a S.W.A.G. based on...
The BP fab recovery hook is really all I was able to find in TacomaWorld. Looks pretty good quality though. Still trying to decide if I want a bumper for my ‘17 Tacoma. Warn has come out with a “slimline” that looks pretty good. I was able to see one installed and ask questions. Warn says it’s...
I have this jack from Menards. Used it a handful of times in the garage but like it because it has a fairly good size base and it locks like a jack stand so I feel it would do pretty well out on the trail.
^^ This. I recently saw a video from Trail Recon showing a guy, I think the founder, of Deadman Offroad demonstrating their anchor. Basically a 4’ x 2’ taro with a specially designed strap on each corner. You dig a hole, out the tarp in, bury it then hook your winch to the straps. Pulled his...
