Thank you for all the feedback. I ended up getting this Mini Countryman. My son can learn to drive on this and the T4R, and his mom has a Rav 4 he’ll end up with once he gets his license.

That’s still better than 14 in my 4Runner, lol

I've been looking around at all the Roof Top Tents. Where I live, you've got to secure just about everything. How do you secure a Roof Top Tent to your vehicle? I found these Spanner Nut but wondered what other options are out there. I believe the RTT bolts are M8, so these should work? Thanks

If you're still in the market, I went with the Treaty Oak Front Recovery Points. They seem pretty strong.

I had the same issue for my 4Runner, and ended up building custom drawers using 1/2" and 3/4" wood.

Here they are just sitting in the basket, no straps. I couldn’t find any trip pics with them strapped in. I have two 15’ straps from REI that I use to hold them in place.

Yeah, I like how the Milwaukee mount system uses no straps. Much easier than using my Plano trunks on my Yakima basket.
