What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

We traded it in, the little 2016 range rover evoque is gone. Used cars are at a premium right now. Moved up to a 2022 infiniti QX55 all wheel drive with all the bells and whistles. Labor day holiday sale. Even has a self driving mode but if you take your hands off the wheel for too long it...

    Camp Photos!

Time to put on a long sleeve shirt. My parents live in AZ and they always kid about putting on a jacket when the temp drops to 80'. LOL.

Gold company seeks land grab, Goodbye Cerro Gordo?

I think organizations like Greenpeace, the Sierra Club, Indian nation would get involved. To help stop the environmental damage it would cause digging an open pit mine. If they don't it just shows they're only in it for the money and not to save the environment. I've seen the open pit mine in...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

On Monday I built this rear tire carrier from New and old hitch parts. Mostly wanted to test it to see if I'm going to like it and order a new rear bumper with a swing out. I just ordered 589 fab 3" side steps that bolt onto the stock rock skids on the zr2. Hopefully get them soon. Wife needs...

Teardrop for sale, Socal 459 Krawler

Putting my 2018 SoCal Teardrop 459 Krawler up for sale. Off-road, on-road trailer. Like new condition, used a dozen times, small, light weight with the ability to be towed anywhere. SoCal Teardrops out of Ontario, California and built at a atthorized Northern California shop at Treeline in...

Is this Coleman stove any good?

I purchased a Coleman propane dual burner over 20 years ago with the click style igniter. It's never let me down, comes apart for easy cleaning. I like it better than my partner stove in my teardrop.

Overland Trailers - first-hand experience: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

I really enjoy my SoCal 459 Krawler. Picked it up April 1, 2018. With a trailer in California you are forced to travel in the slow lane. Doesn't bother me to much as it slows you down so you get to see the sights better. I first had a 2000 wj with the 4.7 on 35 with 4.56 gears. Just didn't...

    Overlanding Oven

For those that have them and used them. Do you use a slate trivet with them on a two burner stove? Reason I ask is I tried to make muffins once and it took 2 hours. The trivet maybe a good idea if it works better to even the heat.

This is a set up my wife likes. Just kidding. Went out to breakfast this morning in Milpitas, great Mexican food. She ordered, I set up the dinning area. Not raining yet.

Orange is the new black - A 2019 Colorado ZR2 Build

Congratulation. I have a 2018 with the diesel so I could tow the teardrop off roading. Crawled up a few steep dirt trails in Death Valley pulling the teardrop. Placed it in 4wd low, locked front and rear diffs and no troubles except the flat tire. Cut a side wall left rear on a rock. Still...

    What would you choose?

All the rigs you are looking at have high mileage. A trailer will add more load on the engine. You are going to be rebuilding soon if they don't fail while on the road or trail. Buy new and make the payments, you'll be better off. You will just be making repairs to the used rig and won't have...

Ways to Keep Warm in Your RTT

These work well. Keep the furnace outside, works like what you have at home using a heat exchanger. No gas smell. You bring outside air into the tent or teardrop. Outside air will produce less condensation like when you use the defrost in the car or truck you never recirculate, that causes...
