At the speeds we travel overlanding, spots just are not a necessity. The driving combo beam pattern from Baja Designs is perfect for overlanding. Start with a pattern like that, and add spots if you find them necessary.
If you haven't already, take a look at this link to Baja Designs Lighting...
I struggle with this one, too. I've ridden my dual sport to Cerro Gordo a couple times (before it burned) and it's really cool, the area is awesome, and I hope to ride up there again. I also like what the new owner is trying to accomplish. But the mining company owns the claim, and if allowed...
I don't want to hijack this thread but I'd like to give my 2 cents on the Thuren vs Carli decision. First off, I know both of these guys personally, though it has been a little more than 10 years that I've seen either of them. I have off-roaded with them both, and both have worked on my truck...

Well, my radio is an old modded Icom IC-v8000 and not as cool as most but it still works like a champ. I've had it mounted by my right leg for 15 years now and it works well for me. I don't like having to many light up gadget and gizmos in front of me so when I do replace it I'll likely put...
