Maybe the resin wouldn’t be necessary if my concern is waterproofing because a wood frame would provide the structure.

Does anyone have experience or expertise in resin and or canvas to know if building a truck camper with canvas over wood siding and roof would hold up to the elements? I was thinking maybe treating the canvas with resin or some other weather proofing?

You You can find sturdy kitchen style step ladders at Home Depot that are relatively short with a platform on top. The one in the picture is 19” high at the platform.

That makes sense. I was perusing some of the ready made overland trailers on the "buyers guide" and the ones that look similar to yours are in the $6K plus range not including the tent.

It looks great! Did you weigh it yet? It seems like most of the mass is already on there. Edit: One more question, why do you hope to break even in cost compared to buying a ready made trailer? Shouldn't you save a lot of money if you don't count the time you spend?
