Hey neighbor! New 4Runner is looking good!

Looks like it'll just be a friend and me caravanning, but I'll be there Thurs thru Sunday. I'll have my little OLB flag hanging on my CB antenna. I'll keep a lookout for folks. I'm in a gray 5th gen 4Runner likely parked with a Nissan Titan.

I'll be there, leaving tomorrow a.m., still trying to pin down when and with whom. What I know so far, is that I'll have one other non-OLB friend (hopefully we can convert him) from another group tagging along and hopefully caravanning with @OregonTrail4runner Looking forward to meeting some...

This right here. I've gone through this entire thread and that was what hit me right away. Can't help but be inspired! So many amazing places to see. Some in your own in backyard and some many miles away.

You raise several great points there. Setting up the tent isn't my favorite camping activity. It's not something I dislike, but there are other things I'd rather be doing. It's definitely an opportunity to unplug, slow down and as you put it "do simple things" (nicely stated, by the way)...

Timely thread. I was pretty much convinced that an RTT was what we should get and almost ready to pull the trigger. The more I read, the more I reconsider. I'm not too concerned about the increased CoG of a RTT, but think it's worth keeping in mind. I like the idea of having a tent always...

I finished up my ARB axle breather install, cut the boots off of my Bilstein's (they kept sliding off). A few days ago, I installed my Metal Tech sliders and Baja Ladder. Making slow, but steady progress. Up next, rearranging my roof rack setup (yet again... haha).

I'm on another IG following frenzy. Holy cow, this thread has gotten huge! LOL!

This very truck was what started my love for Toyota trucks. Love those tube bumpers and the roll bar with lights. haha

Amen to that: "buy once, cry once" I neglected to mention King & Fox, also great options. And definitely cannot exclude Toytec. Their Boss kits are very nice. The choices are overwhelming, but good to have. :)

Just to add to this: I installed a Toytec (3" front/2" rear) spacer/rear coil lift with Bilstein 5100's in the rear. At the time, I hadn't really considered that I'd want to build our 4Runner into an overlanding rig. Adding things like bumpers, winch, rooftop tent and other gear will add a lot...
