Also I think that 3rd gen 4runners have a little more off-road abilities out of the box (especially with the coveted rear differential lock), but I think that 4th gens with the 4.0 or 4.7 are awesome and with a little extra money you can get them to a place where they can perform just as well...

3.4 swap with the wiring harness/ECM/airbox from a 1998 MT Tacoma, Motor from 140k T-100
33x10.5x15 ko2's
Broken wires in doors causing windows/courtesy lights/heat selector gauge to malfunction
Covercraft Leatherette seat covers
Rear bumper sold...
In the end found the optimal PSI for 32x11.5 tires on 7" wide rims was 24.5 front, 20 rear. Not ideal. Upgraded to 33x10.5 - now running 35-32 F/R PSI.
Cant believe its been over a year since I posted in here! Heres some pictures of where its been in the last 5-6 months.
I ended up getting some shorter shocks from Oreilly's for the time being, not even sure of what application they are for, just know they don't bottom out even on rougher...
