Also I think that 3rd gen 4runners have a little more off-road abilities out of the box (especially with the coveted rear differential lock), but I think that 4th gens with the 4.0 or 4.7 are awesome and with a little extra money you can get them to a place where they can perform just as well...

@Slimpartywagon @KRose thanks! She’s come a long way in a relatively short amount of time. Really looking forward to getting out and enjoying it this spring/summer/fall. As for your questions I went with trailgear bumpers front and rear, but recently sold the rear in preparation for a Coastal...

    32x11.5x15 PSI questions/opinions

In the end found the optimal PSI for 32x11.5 tires on 7" wide rims was 24.5 front, 20 rear. Not ideal. Upgraded to 33x10.5 - now running 35-32 F/R PSI.

1991 Toyota Pickup SCSB "Ruby" (Picture Heavy)

Good looking rig @ThexColexMAN ! Thanks for sharing. I will always have soft spot for these old 3rd gens, especially in the single cab configuration! Glad to help out with the inspiration. @JDGreens the infamous 22r/re valve chatter, never gets old!

    Best 4runner overlanding mods?

X2 on suspension with little to no lift. Preferably from a high quality shop such as OME. I would not go with any extraneous things externally such as bumpers, racks or the sort until the day comes when you realize “I need a steel bumper” and “I have too much shiz and need to stash it on the...

Yeah same area! Still on the path to contact but I think I am getting close. Hanging around 25psi now and judging by road dirt on the tire I might have it. Thanks for all the replies.
