Also I think that 3rd gen 4runners have a little more off-road abilities out of the box (especially with the coveted rear differential lock), but I think that 4th gens with the 4.0 or 4.7 are awesome and with a little extra money you can get them to a place where they can perform just as well...

@Slimpartywagon @KRose thanks! She’s come a long way in a relatively short amount of time. Really looking forward to getting out and enjoying it this spring/summer/fall. As for your questions I went with trailgear bumpers front and rear, but recently sold the rear in preparation for a Coastal...

    32x11.5x15 PSI questions/opinions

In the end found the optimal PSI for 32x11.5 tires on 7" wide rims was 24.5 front, 20 rear. Not ideal. Upgraded to 33x10.5 - now running 35-32 F/R PSI.

Cant believe its been over a year since I posted in here! Heres some pictures of where its been in the last 5-6 months. I ended up getting some shorter shocks from Oreilly's for the time being, not even sure of what application they are for, just know they don't bottom out even on rougher...

Good looking rig @ThexColexMAN ! Thanks for sharing. I will always have soft spot for these old 3rd gens, especially in the single cab configuration! Glad to help out with the inspiration. @JDGreens the infamous 22r/re valve chatter, never gets old!

    Best 4runner overlanding mods?

X2 on suspension with little to no lift. Preferably from a high quality shop such as OME. I would not go with any extraneous things externally such as bumpers, racks or the sort until the day comes when you realize “I need a steel bumper” and “I have too much shiz and need to stash it on the...

    32x11.5x15 PSI questions/opinions

Hey OB. Just got into a set of 32X11.5x15 STT pros and I am wondering what people are running for PSI in their 32's. Not on the air game yet, so trying to find the sweet spot for DD duty and minor excursions. I'm down at 32PSI trying to get a good contact patch currently. Mounted on sr5...

Been able to get out lately around the home and spend some nights in the RTT I purchased through REI, a Tepui Kukenam Sky 3. All in all, I am happy with the purchase, the fit, and finish of the tent seems to be top notch. Decided to mount the tent with rear deployment which gives me a nice...

Best overland vehicle with 7 seats

Whatever your budget is minus 1/3 for maintenance and upgrades. Whatever your wife likes. Preference for Toyotas, but GM/Ford parts can be found with some regularity if you are thinking about going long distance. I like to think if I was going to build a land yacht it would be a...
