    New rig, 2020 Ford Raptor

Looking good! I debated a higher rack setup, but as I don’t currently plan to be carry a RTT, and this is more to increase my load carrying capacity, it was easier/cheaper to use my old towers for this. Debating even leaving the rack off unless I’m in need of it for a trip or something, but...

    New rig, 2020 Ford Raptor

Next mods to go in with be some lights. I’ve got a fog pocket kit coming, as well as some lights and mounts for the a-pillar. For now though, I’m just enjoying the truck every time I drive it. I’ve had it up in N GA on dirt/gravel and on trails almost every weekend since I bought it.

    New rig, 2020 Ford Raptor

Next up was to give the interior of the bed a little more organization. Added some BuiltRight Industries bedside rack panels, with a rotopax mount on the right side, and some Fist clamps for tools that pretty much live in the truck in the left.

    New rig, 2020 Ford Raptor

First things to address was tint and ceramic coating. Got that done pretty quick, as I have done with most cars we own recently. This car will live outside, so protecting the interior and paint was a priority. Next up was to address giving myself more storage capabilities. Added a Retrax...

    New rig, 2020 Ford Raptor

After spending a couple years with my 2018 Subaru Outback, and really enjoying the build and using it, we found we had need for more space. Our second daughter was born in May of this year, and after a trip from Atlanta to Emerald Isle, NC, my wife determined she had no desire to sit in the back...

    martin_j001's adventure-wagon

Sounding like the Wildpeaks might be worth trying out...just need to decide if the slight hit to mpg (yet another in the case of our cars) is worth it versus tires that wear out fast (Terrain Contacts)...versus something else.

So I guess that's good to know that you're seeing similar tread wear as me, at least. As I've had to have my car aligned twice recently (once with previous oil change and also with most recent), I'm going to have to have the suspension checked out I think, not sure what the deal is with that...

    martin_j001's adventure-wagon

So I've had some uneven wear, and what seems like fast wear with mine. I've been running about 35/33psi in them for the most part (cold). Been keeping a closer eye on alignment lately as well, so that certainly contributes to the uneven wear part. But at around 20k on them, I'm down to less than...

    martin_j001's adventure-wagon

Looking naked without the basket and awning up top. Drove from ATL--> Waco, TX and back in less than a week (4 travel days, 2 full days there). Saw 21-22mpg on the highways, 19 or so around town before leaving and while in TX. About to need another set of tires and need to choose... G015's or K02's.

...but it's a Subaru Outback?! Build thread.

3.6R here, but did this experiment this last week. Around town and on shorter day trips up into the mountains with the basket and awning up top, I'll see anywhere around 18mpg in mine. This last week, took the basket and all off to drive to Waco, TX and back... saw about 22mpg at best (cruise...

    Powerlift 3 Ton,All-in-One Bottle Jack

Just purchased one of these myself. Had a flat on a recent trip, and had to use the oem scissor jack with a spacer to lift the car...it was a huge PITA. This will do the job much more quickly, and safely, going forward.

Recommendations for a trauma kit bag

I've really been tempted by one of BROG's molle seatback panels with a couple pouches on it for general irst aid and all, plus a visor mount panel for the immediate trauma gear. The removable molle pouches on the seat back would be good to "grab and go" if going hiking, etc away from the car too.

Recommendations for a trauma kit bag

Like the one you posted? They have a couple that contain some more general supplies, maybe not the exact same things though--their Adventure Medical Bag might be worth a look to store the same amount of supplies. I'm personally a fan of their visor setup, but don't have one yet...having the...

Recommendations for a trauma kit bag

Dark Angel Medical is my personal go-to, and having used one of their kits and experienced their "Kit for life" program first hand, I'm happy to recommend them to others. That said, there's other good options out there too, like ITS Tactical and more. I have a kit I put together myself in a...

    GAIA and apple car play

In my experience, Waze is a bit faster to adapt to current traffic conditions, and trying to help route you around slow downs, etc. I still prefer Google Maps over the others so far, as having the satellite view can definitely help you when you're in unfamiliar territory ("so is the turn before...
