Who carrys a firearm with them while camping?

I carry every day no matter where I go. It's just good sense to do that because deadly danger can arrive from anywhere for any reason at any time. You may never need it, but it's good to be prepared just in case you do.

    Legal Weapons and Overlanding

I would suggest a short 12ga shot gun. I have a double barrel 12ga coach gun as used on stage coaches back in the day. I added a stock ammo band which holds 6 12ga rounds. It shoots well from both waist and shoulder level and is easy to handle. It's also fairly heavy which increases accuracy...

That should suffice for the average Californian. :tearsofjoy:

    Service Dogs

Hah, mine wake me up at 0 dark 30 .every. .freaking. . morning. so I can feed them breakfast. I have two GSDs, the male is the velcro dog. The female is more attached to her food bowl than she is me although she does like my company.

    Service Dogs

I have a German shepherd that turned into a Velcro dog. He stays by my side until I ignore him when at the computer, watching tv or reading a book. As soon as I finish, he's right there in just a few seconds. I figure he thinks he might miss something important.

That's a rather large caliber red fist y'all got there. You sure that's legal? You might be better off with something like this.

Does cleaning up mean policing the copper and burying the kills?

Overlanding Shoes (Is there such a thing :-) )

I have a pair of Canned hiking boots I bought maybe 15 years ago. They still got and are in excellent shape, very comfortable. In my college days we called them waffle stompers. Since I don't hike much I'm doubtful I'll ever wear them out but they are great for camping, etc.

    Roof Racks

I use Frontrunner. They work well on my Bronco fiberglass cap.

    IceCube Fridge/Freezer Anybody?

I figured as much, but I just couldn't resist a chance to be a smartass. :grinning: BTW, I could be wrong but you're probably Scott Six, no? I'm Larry Jorgensen, friend of Chris Riffle. Are you the right person I'm thinking of?

    Geekaire fan.

I'm not sure of the nominal size I purchased, but I measured it and it's either 14 or 15 inches in diameter. I bought it last year and it has held up well.

    Geekaire fan.

I purchased a Geekaire fan to keep cool in the tent, my carport, and while lounging around outside the truck, tent or under the canopy. Works really well. Battery is a Li-on type that will last 24 hours and recharges fast. It's the best I have found.

What RTT fan are you using?

Don't know if you're still looking, but I purchased a Geekaire fan which has a Li-on battery that lasts almost 24 hours. Mine is a 15 Dia and it's quiet and works really well. I use it in my carport and my camping tent. Google geekaire.com for more info.
