The hole will get a sealed cove, once I get the snorkel built. The Discovery has what basically amounts to a second battery tray on the left side.the coil is mounted on the core support right there in the way, from the factory. Oh, and no the silencer is not needed. It doesn't seem any louder...
Worked on the Discovery's dual battery setup. Removed the air box silencer, and relocated the coil. Next step will be a good hold down, wiring and a Camel Trophy style snorkel.
As for fishing, get a paper copy of the regulations, they also have an app that is pretty good. Be careful they like to close odd sections of streams and rivers, and have specific regulations for individual little lakes. I fish streams that I have fished my entire life, and sometimes struggle to...
My opinion, Olympics are better in the summer (more open), San Juan Islands are my winter place. Better weather than Seattle, no crowds. Go to Leavenworth in February, you won't have crowds and tge lights are still on with much better snow.
Stopped in Darlington to visit my favorite Honey Bucket at the Shell station. This was the way my GPS told me, and the way we came home from uo there a few weeks ago.
