Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
Much appreciated! I’ve always loved tinkering and working on projects. Comes in handy with a sorta-prepper mindset.
I’ve got a lot planned for Goldie, too many “nexts” to chose from.
Good thing the wife is super supportive. This truck keeps me out of trouble, is a security blanket for the...
Goldie Hawn's "Cam Job"
So, here is how this started.
Back in March I noticed a coolant issue, slow leak. I found that odd as all of my cooling components were new (hoses, radiator, pump, etc, etc). I eventually found a very, very small hole right at the water pump neck (up high). I...
Well, it may be about time that I start to document the work I'm doing on my rig. To be honest, I should have started this a log time ago, as Goldie's been with me a while and has needed some care. Here we are on the Bonneville Salt Flats a few years back.
She's not exactly stock, but not...

Love that roof rack. I’m looking to do something similar, but will probably opt for the contractor rack since I have a truck.
Just a few pics from the cab of my ‘05 Silverado.
Navigation is via iPad and inReach. I’ll be adding an ATT OBD hot spot soon for WiFi and monitoring vehicle codes.
Comms are cellphone, FRS, and CB. May add HAM if I can find the time to get licensed.
Medical is the FieldCraft Survival med...

This is working very well. Not much vibration to speak of, and...
Well, this is the approach I’ve taken. I will be adding a QD under the hood at some point to prevent any potential issues down the road. Thanks for all the suggestions.
Oh! I got a LiIon jumper pack as well.
