Had just returned from a road trip across three states to see family when my radiator barfed all over my drive way. Soooooo…. Installed a new radiator, hoses, and water pump for good measure (180k on the ‘05). Also replaced the idler arm and bracket, inner and outer tie rods, sway bar links...

I’ve finally come up with a name for my ‘05 Silverado. I’ll name her, Goldie Hawn. She’s blonde, a touch on the old side, and has had some work done.

Last purchase: new KO2 tires. Next purchase, new tie rods, pitman, and idler arm.

Good lookin’ and functional rig. At times I wish I had the full size suv vs the truck I have. Then again, the truck as come in handy. Love that roof rack. I’m looking to do something similar, but will probably opt for the contractor rack since I have a truck.

Well, this is the approach I’ve taken. I will be adding a QD under the hood at some point to prevent any potential issues down the road. Thanks for all the suggestions. Oh! I got a LiIon jumper pack as well.

My 2005 Silverado 1500. She’s treated me very well, from Alaska to Canada to Utah and now Alabama. 180K and she’s going strong!
