My last try is unless you are going paved roads everywhere stay away from the 2wd model. If you can find one of these 4wd it would be useful and a fun project. I have seen these have to get towed down roads and even out of camp after even the lightest of rain. They just don't get any traction...

I think you will find this to be a good platform. I added the decked bed system, a rack, 35s and new 18" rims, GMRS, spod, fridge, self built battery bank with solar and alternator charging all to my own 2500. It has taken me 70k miles so far and most places I want to go. It won't be a great rig...

As long as work schedule allows I do plan to be there most of the days. I know there also several other Rocky mountain people planning to be there at least on Saturday.

Welcome, lots of trails and things to do in the hills. Chamberlain is an easy drive to get here. Stay a couple days on the way through when you move out.
