Why can’t rtt companies come with a method or way to store cover when tent is in use.

I roll up mine and secure with the built in velcro straps. I thought it's universal to these rtts? Mine is a tuffstuff.

Jeep JKU Roof rack with a soft top?

Have a gobi rack, and use the soft top, for just in town. The gobi rack is not the most aerodynamic rack, it produces a lot of neg pressure causing the top to flutter. Sure you can add padding and all, but overall it gets pretty loud. And getting to your cargo is a PITA. Only did one trip...

    Post Your YouTube channel

I need to clean up my channel and have a focused one just for covering "overland". Most of my videos are i would call family overland videos since i produce/create them for my family. With that said, other folks have found it useful when trying to get better idea in places we've been too.

Roof rack recommendations for JK (Expedition quality)?

fair enough, i can only relate my personal experience with it. I looked into Kargo Master then, they didn't have the pro-cage then if i recall and the one they had was not pleasing to the eyes at all. The Pro-Cage definitely is a step up, plus i dig the hood cowl cat walk, and i personally...

Roof rack recommendations for JK (Expedition quality)?

I haven't heard of a Gobi rubbing on the hardtop unless that's just improperly installed. a corner brace helps stop the flex, it is an add-on accessory. I don't have one, i want one since any rigidity support is a good thing -- but if i order one now, i would have completed three around the...

Roof rack recommendations for JK (Expedition quality)?

I only have experience with my Gobi but I can attest to the sturdiness and build quality. I've loaded it with boxes, gas, firewood, RTT and awning and traveled many road conditions (washboards and trails that swing you back and forth non-stop!). with that said, Gobi has several weeks of wait...

    What's on your roof?

This coming winter, 3 ski sets for me and my 2 boys. A traction board and a bin for storing assorted stuff, like snowshoes and firewood.

    Winter driving And exploring

One thing i can add re driving. Check traction condition (whether onroad or off-road) by purposely accelerating and braking heavily to determine where the threshold is (where your ABS kick-in or with no ABS, when it locks up). A lot of times you may feel like you have decent traction but slick...

    Dry ice

My experience is that it's guaranteed to freeze your food so have another cooler for thawing, so you can have something ready to cook for dinner.

    Newbie from Michigan

I did UP early this year from west to east. The west side has tighter trails and less travelled. Wash outs and some rocky sections yet nothing too technical however you are in a very remote, heavy forest area so travelling alone is always stressfull :). The east side is a mud bath but well...

    Hello Minnesotans!

Campgrounds are open now that temps have cooled down. Also superior national forest has plenty of campgrounds from full sites to primitive sites. Was just up there for fall colors camping with my boys. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Cooler vs Fridge: Which is right for you?

Yes, i think most i've looked into, including Dometic, say to keep away from the elements.

Cooler vs Fridge: Which is right for you?

One other thing i always remember being a hassle with cooler. We would normally have some food that we didn't end up cooking, typically those steak nights turning to a noodles night since that's all the time you got to prep food. By the end of the trip, my dry-ice is done, and the ice/cooler...
