I've had my 2016 Superduty down some pretty gnarly trails in CO, UT, NV and NM. They are big, but you can take them off road and they do well, especially when airing down and with decent tires.
To anyone who has actually purchased these maps, are they worth purchasing? Can you provide any information on what is actually including on the maps?
Are they just gpx files? The website doesn't really have much info.
Much of that land on the East side of the river is Navajo land and they generally do not permit dispersed camping at all. You will have better luck up around Lake Powell. Not close, but look into Alstrom Point.

I doubt that you are going to be able to camp right next to any hot springs in NM, but this might help - 9 New Mexico Hot Springs - A Couple of Drifters
I did spend a night at Bog Hot Springs many years ago, it was nice and secluded, I was the only one there. I was searching for petroglyph around Pyramid Lake, but was chased out by some nasty storms that washed out many of the backroads. Never been to Black Rock Desert, it is on my bucket...
Wow! Are all of those in the Christmas Mountains? I love the shots of the dog and the Tacoma. Can you be a bit more specific on their location? I will have to add this area to my bucket list. I hope to get out there in Spring time in the next couple of years. I spent a couple of days in...
Monongahela National Forest - Dolly Sods Wilderness is one really cool place. There is one primitive campground there.
Seneca Rocks, Spruce Knob, Flagpole Knob is a bit farther South.
Hiking Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, and North Carolina is great for hiking trails

I have been there 3 times over the years (and I live in Maryland). Make sure you drive all the way to the end of the road and be sure to visit the Visitor Center and Patriarch Grove.
I was going to spend the night at Sundial Hot Springs - http://sundialsprings.com/ - but she closed down for the "Rona" a couple weeks before my trip. Maybe next time.
Very cool. Had planned to visit Big Bend this summer but it was pretty much closed down when I wanted to go. We have visited just about all of the rock art sites in Moab. This year we headed North up into WY and Northern/Central UT instead.

It you want to get up into the high country for a day or two, I highly recommend Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest just up the road from Big Pine. No fishing, but there is a primitive campground.
