Ahhhh, so basically making your own instant coffee! Thank you for enlightening me :D Learning something new every day.
Yes, Timmies makes a pretty good cuppa. I hate starbucks, personally, always tastes burnt to me.
My personal thing is just coffee grounds with a collapsible silicone pour over...
Maybe this is a dumb question, or maybe I'm just missing some detail, but what's the advantage of doing this vs just carrying coffee grinds and making coffee every morning? If it's freeze dried, don't you have to add water anyway?
Sorry if I'm clued out, but I'm not getting the idea here.
I googled Tocino and it looks delicious. I'm buying some Tocino Spam if I ever see it around.
EDIT: Saw Grubworm's teriyaki spam and DANG son, I bet that's absolutely amazing. Buying some of that too. Sadly in The People's Republik of Kanuckistan, we don't tend to see such things.
I wasn't able to do a camp out this weekend, but did some fun exploring and wheeling with a good friend of mine. Thoroughly explored some cool tracks around a lake not far from my home, and discovered a secret squirrel route into an area I've been wanting to get access to, so all in all, great...

Glad I could be of assistance :D Ganbaru was an awesome machine and I'm very thankful I had it. Cheers!
No need for apologies :D I'm happy to relive fond memories of Ganbaru, as much as I'm sad he's gone lol

Having said that, in all my years of bush camping, hunting and...
Also, don't remove the safety clip unless you actually are presented with a threat.
Kind of akin to removing the safety of a pistol when it's still in the holster - no reason to do it.
Well, of course my love of the CR-V is well document by this point lol. First Gen CR-V gets my enthusiastic recommendation, especially with a lift and bigger tires.
Only 65?
I plan to keep adventuring as long as I can walk and they don't take away my driver's license for dementia or something lol
Heck, my rig has like 358,000km on it right now, and that's not stopping me. If your rig breaks too badly and isn't worth fixing, go find a $2000 Land Rover...
For those of us who really get it, who got into overlanding because we genuinely LOVE vehicle based adventure, Overlanding will never die because the things that make it great never change. The bandwagon jumpers will disappear, but all the better for us diehards.
