Making a list of must have stuff, that includes a water heater, how do you heat yours, OK, a budget of $300, extra points for cheaper, probably be used more for making coffee! Make, model, fuel used, why you use it.

bought this one years back and works pretty good. also bought a similar unit of the "Gasland" brand and it is also pretty good. uses 2 "D" batteries to ignite the burner and I use a small 12vdc pump to supply it from a Jerry can. if you cut back on the flow, it will get hot enough to scald, so it is a serious water heater. does very well on fuel and I've gotten weeks on a 5 pound propane tank

cool idea on wiring into existing 12v system...I was out boondocking in winter one time when my D batteries died and I didn't have extrasI second the Gasland heater! Love it.
A cool idea is to wire it into your 12v system and forget those batteries! All you need is a buck converter to lower the 12v down to 3v! I have an internal water system with a pump and having instant hot water is awesome. Never thought about it for coffee water as I have a small boiler!!
I'm looking at this one on Amazon! Where do you have it mounted on your rig? I'm thinking it could go on the driver's side 3/4 door on the SpaceKap.bought this one years back and works pretty good. also bought a similar unit of the "Gasland" brand and it is also pretty good. uses 2 "D" batteries to ignite the burner and I use a small 12vdc pump to supply it from a Jerry can. if you cut back on the flow, it will get hot enough to scald, so it is a serious water heater. does very well on fuel and I've gotten weeks on a 5 pound propane tank

I have it mounted in a camp trailer now, but when truck camping, just kept it in a tote and took it out when needed. would hang it off the back of the truck and use a jerry can with 12v pump and 5 pound propane tank.I'm looking at this one on Amazon! How often do you use that shower/pottie tent? As you may know, in the Army days, lucky to go into a shower tent, usually was just behind a tarp on 2 or 3 sides, usually just sitting on a folding stool with a helmet.I posted this in another thread but….
I made a drop on bracket, and I use a plastic shelf section for showering!

My camping trips, less than a week, usually got a bucket and stood by the truck with the door open, maybe a tarp over the cab, a good wipe down or dip in the lake.
Now, my plans will probably include a motel on the third or forth night.
BTW, off topic, my dad was a teacher, had summers off, so in '60 he started a camper-camping supply rental business. I gave demos of our Camper DeVille tent trailer, (only a half dozen ever built in Hot Springs, Ar.) they were about the same as the Apache but all aluminum, very nice for the day. I mention it because I see you were in the business as well. Dad sold his business in 72 as he took on a new high school. More in some other thread.
As to the water heater, mine will probably make more coffee than showers, but ya gotta be prepared......
