Trails

Uwharrie, Tellico, Old NC 105, and consider exploring nearby states!

Haven't been farther west than Uwharrie (fairly central) but I understand that there are forest service roads all over the place - some times there are ungated offshoots that can take you to very technical and sketchy terrain. Can confirm that this is true near the coast, not sure about farther west.

I am going to be roaming north ga next weekend the trails I found on NC coast the few times I went was hard to find camping. Planning a trip to cape lookout in the next few weeks. if you haven’t checked out cape lookout. worth looking up.

Take a look at the areas around Hurricane creek, buzzard roost, max patch. Then over to hot springs area to hurricane gap. Shad rd is a fun trail.
