Why Over-landing: I love the out doors and want to get the family out of the house. I want to let my kids see the world.

Welcome to Overland Bound!

Hi there, I am Kim and I have always been an outdoorsy chick due to being in the outdoors camping, fishing and hiking my whole life... I’m from North of Seattle, WA

Overlanding and Off-roading became real about 3 years after I purchased my Purple 2018 Jeep Rubicon!!

I’ve been Overlanding for almost 2 years now. I love the freedom and adventure it brings and I’m always looking forward to meeting new trail family, traveling and seeing the outdoors in a 4Wheel point of view.

My vehicle is a Purple 2018 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon JKU edition. By the way her name is Rubi... As for Modifications...she has a 2 1/2” lift, 35” BFG K02’s and She drives like a Cadillac!!

Rubi is definitely not a pavement princess and has gotten dirty on many trails over the past 2 years!! I have 2 older big dogs (ages 13 yrs & 11yrs) Keeta & Blaze who love to go for rides!! They’ve been on every trip!!

Mark and I Started out with ground tent, coolers and a lot of totes…. but soon after we started overlanding we upgraded to a RTT, and love it! We also have a fridge/freezer, and just changed over from kitchen totes to building a camp box so everything is in one box. We Also added a diesel heater that works great for when we do winter camping!!

I am Very anxious to get out there. My main goal is to be outdoors and living my best life having fun and meeting new people!

Opinions and advice are greatly appreciated!
Hello Kim & Mark, Awesome looking JKU! Can't imagine how you have room for gear with two big fur babies, we used to travel with just on German Shepard who managed to take up most of the back seat in our Jeeps..lol Michelle & I are located up on Camano Island just a bit north of you. I am the local Overland Bound member representative for this area, please feel free to message anytime if you have any questions as you explore the site. Things are picking up again after the holidays and as the weather improves. You can check out the Rally Point and Calendar tabs for meetups, trips and other events as the get posted. We have a couple in the works that we should be posting soon. Great to see that you guys get out for some winter camping, one of our favorite things.

Greetings and welcome to Overland Bound!
Shahn, see you all the time on the forums, and wonder how many times we have passed each other on the road, we so close and pass through Marysville all the time .. lol. Hope to catch up with you at an event or meetup one of these days.

There's a good chance we have! lol
I for sure will see you at an event this year, I missed the ones last year but made it a goal of mine to attend this year! :)

I've always wanted to pull my rid out onto the beach for hanging out and camping. Unfortunately I live in a land locked state and have't taken the time to drive out to the cost. I will one of these days. Until then I'll be in the mountains as much as I can.

There's pluses and minuses to both.

Hello there. I have been interested in off-roading since i was a kid. I now find myself in the position to actually start over-landing, as i love camping as well. I hope to learn a lot from everyone!!

A friend of mine is on this journey with me, he just picked up a 2022 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk (im kinda jealous). So anything taught to me will in turn be taught to him.

Hello Kim, Welcome to Overland Bound.
I am the Northwest Director. @OTH Overland is your closest member representative.
To help navigate through the forums, here are some links that can be filtered by “Region” prefix. We are in the Overland Bound North America US Northwest Region (US Northwest for short).
Overland Bound Meetups- is where all member generated rally points are posted in forum format for discussion of Rally Point and other types of Meetups. A meetup can be as simple as a group getting together for coffee, a trail ride, or a full in expedition with other Overland Bound Members.
Overland Bound Trip Planning- is a great place to talk about planning a trip wether by your self or as a group.
Overland Bound Routs: Downloadable- is exactly what it sounds like. Search, or share your GPX files here with a description of the route and POIs.
Share your Overland Routes- is similar time the downloadable posted above, but doesn’t require you to share the actual GPX file.
Overland Bound By Region < North America < US Northwest- is where you can find regional members discussing local events, Overland News, and general topics. It’s a great recourse to mete others in the regions.
Member Maps- a great trip planning tool. It can also be used to send out messages to members near your location, or a location you plan to visit.
Rally Point- a tool used to creat Meetups or send out an SOS.
Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask myself or your member representative team. Again welcome and hope to see you on the trails.
Mike Rose
