I have been a member since 2017, but have now retired and actually have time now to really participate. Look forward to engaging with folks from Virginia and surrounding areas .

Great. Retirement is always a good start for something new.
Welcome, and I hope you will meet many interesting people to write new adventures with.

Hello.

Been a member for a while, finally got around to posting.

Northwest region
2018 Toyota tacoma
I'd say I have an intermediate level of experience with offroading and overlanding.

Mostly hiking and camping and the truck gets me there.

Hey Calvin! Welcome to …posting on Overland Bound!

Hi everyone, I'm a newbee to Overlanding...infact...still in the process of the build of my 2009 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 (150,000 miles). I'm trying to get the suspension upgraded but CJC is booked until August already. I have some hunting plans already set up for the fall. Was hoping to get my rig set up by then. if anyone has any ideas let me know. I've attached a photo of the rigs current state and set up. lol I know, I've watching videos of how fast you guys get camp set up. This camp did not take less than a minute to set up or tear down. lol

Thanks Jackson. Yeah, I know I have some work to do. That's why I joined, hoping to get some experienced inside suggestions. I know I need to start with the suspension. I went to New Mexico last Oct for Elk hunting with a Cab Over Camper on board. Experienced the famous (unknown prior to me) Dodge Death Wobble. lol So, anyone that may know a good shop in my area to take it for the suspension upgrade please let me know. I've already contacted CJC Overland, their booked up until August. I'd attempt the project on my own, but suspension is just to important and I'd prefer a seasoned pro to tackle my rig. I'm mechanically inclined and I don't have any issues doing the rest of the build, but the suspension needs an expert.
