According to a post on the Smarter Travel web page; these are the 10 most dangerous National Parks, based on Search & Rescue data. We added our tenth, last year with a trip to Olympic National Park.
1. Grand Canyon National Park
2. Yosemite National Park
3. Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park
4. Yellowstone National Park

5. Rocky Mountain National Park
6. Zion National Park
7. Glen Canyon National Recreation Area
8. Grand Teton National Park

I’m only missing Olympic. Strangely, it’s the closest one to my house. Go figure.
We have tried for 20+ years to get to the Olympic, we plan to go back this fall. Hurricane Ridge was awesome.

Olympic is a beautiful and diverse park - challenging mountain hikes, temperate rainforest, glaciers, majestic trees, and interesting tidal pools.
As for danger, I was warned repeatedly by locals when hiking the loop which includes Klahane Ridge, that in 2010, a man was killed by a mountain goat on the primitive Switchback Trail. Kept my head on a swivel when passing those goats! My only injury on public lands was hiking Mt. Ellinor in nearby Olympic National Forest. It’s pretty steep, gaining about 2300 feet in 1.5 miles. Coming down, I slid, banged my foot on a rock and broke my big toe. No SAR needed, just some ice for my foot and a bandaid for my wounded ego!

Been to most of these... maybe dangerous due to many non-fenced areas that you could fall off?

10 out of 10 but Hikes a good portion of them in my youth. Now looking at seeing more by driving! and yes based on search and rescue data that all makes sense.

Been to 7 and agree they're dangerous. My wife decided we should do a really long hike in the Tetons knowing I had bought new boots. The blisters and dead toenail afterwards required several beers for rehab which caused me to almost fall to my death from my barstool

Pretty cool, My son tried out for the Mountain Cold Rescue Group at his Military's collage, Norwich. But it got in the way of him doing it in four years with Mech Eng. and being in the Guard too, but he learned a lot about rappelling and rope work which he used in the Army quite number of times...
