Probably need to worry about flames before snow
Well if I worry about flames here, the Bronco will never roll... once the forests stop burning, the fields start, and the fields will burn till the snow is too deep... so, I better worry about snow.

Every year I get an ambitious project lined up, but it never fails that snow starts flying by the time I am ready to put it back together... I swear this year will be different.... unless my buddy gets me a furnace for my travel trailer within a week... then installing a furnace becomes priority.

Sounds like too many fun projects at once, you will get the Bronco going I have no doubt.

How was the run to Quilomene Ceg?
Need pics, sounds like a fun place to go to. Just didn't work for my schedule, had to go to Portland today. Not sure I quite fit into your Jeep group either lol.
We have more than just Jeeps that run with us. Some places are tight where you get pin stripping. The last run had those places and we did not know until we went there. It was a very fun trip. Here is the photo report: Photos: LSOC Columbia River to Naneum Ridge Overland Trip - Eastern Washington Tourism & Chuckwagon

Thanks Ceg. I have a fair amount of optional pinstripes from my adventures, they usually come with the territory (being full sized doesn't help), especially territory you have yet to explore. I had no idea what the road to Blue Slide looked like until I was there. My wife wasn't thrilled by the road, she had knee surgery three months ago and it isn't settling well, though that may have something to do with wanting to overlanding with me all of the time. The route didn't look bad at all but the shrubs could use a little trimming, lol. Nice pics. Will have to plan to meet up in the future for a run. Last weekend was a bit broken up due to a trip to Portland on Sunday.

Thanks. If the wife did not like the drive up Jackass Road to Blue Slide, she would hate the trail down to Blue Lake. LOL

We are planning to camp at Juniper Dunes this weekend if it works out. I am waiting to hear back from my oldest son to see if he has the time off of work. Most of our club members cannot make it this weekend. I may push the trip back a week.

She loves the view, just hates smashing her knee into the door, and swears I do it intentionally. Blue Lake is where all the jeep buggies ran to after the Blue Slide. I wasn't following them. They actually made it there and back down to camp before I got back down, but the were moving fast and riding on lots of clearance and 40's. The dunes are nearly in Mr. Wilson's back yard, and not to far from here. Not sure what this weekend is bringing (including potential house guests from the Oregon fires). Let us know if it happens.

We ran a lot of the roads/trail around the Ahtanum State Forest on July 5th. I forgot how bad some of the places were since I had been using my JKU on 35's there for years. The YJ has little clearance with the stock worn out springs and 30" tires. It was challenging to get through some places.

I am hoping they can get the wildfires put out soon.

We are all hoping for that. I have a bunch of friends in Oregon that are out of there homes and hoping they have someplace to go back to, and a couple that know they don't. Bad fire season.

It is sad. We got lucky here because the wind shifted the Evans Canyon Fire back away from us. I hear that 5 homes were lost from that fire. Could be more but the info we are getting is slow.

Northern Blues is under extreme fire conditions
Check the regulations for the Forrest you are planning on visiting

We are heading to Juniper Dunes Friday to camp in Smith Canyon for the weekend. We are running the trails starting around 10 am Saturday. Feel free to join us. Look for my F350 w/camper and a white YJ this time.

CB #7 for Saturday's run
