Finally back in a truck after having a car for a few years. Just picked up a 2014 Ram 2500 Cummins that I will be building into an overlanding rig!
So far plan is:
Rack
Roof top tent
Bed slideout
Front bumper with 16k winch
Rear bumper
On board air
Solar panels
Auxiliary power system
Batwing awning (not sure brand yet)
Some kind of refrigeration and cooking area (need some ideas)
Light bars
Long term plans (2-3years):
AEV lift and fenders with 40x15.50 tires
Gears and ARB air lockers

Same here. 2018 2500 RAM Cummings. I got the Ram boxes. Bad move on my part. Not too many bed rack are made for that model. Also the marker light over the Cab. Have not found a roof rack that will fit.

Btw, I have a ladder rack made by Thule for sale. I live in Davie, Fl. I used it for my roof top tent. Dodge Ram 2500 TracRac SR Sliding Truck Rack | RealTruck Come complete with locks for the sliders. $400.00. Bubba@bubbatim.com.

This is the only rack I know of for a truck with Ramboxes but the reviews are great!

Oh boy. I am excited to see this build. I suppose I am partial.

We are close, Do you do any overlanding when its gets cooler. I generally go to Ocala NF. Looking for free camp sites
I was at ONF I couple weeks ago. It was a little hot during the day. If you just run trails during the day, you can stay in AC and the set up camp at dusk when it’s cooler.

There are two companies that I know of one of which was already mentioned but there's also Dethloff Manufacturing

Im in Bradenton. Ram is almost done with everything I want. Getting an off road trailer built. PM me your names/emails etc and maybe we can get a Florida group setup..It sucks that there isn't much around us for technical driving but still a lot of great places to overland. Anyway, best of luck and if you need any help or anything Ram related let me know. I spent months and months researching. Dethloff is great so is Nuthouse industries. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Hey there’s at least 3 of us with Ram heavy duty’s in Florida, we should start a club or something.
btw, A group of us are going to Three Lakes Wildlife Managment Area Nov 18th. Look at the Members Maps for details.
