Hello all, Im located in South Texas. I found this forum searching for off road tools, ideas, plans on youtube. I'm excited to search this page and see what real people are using, working on, places they've been to help me plan my trips. Since you are new to the Forum, I wanted to make sure you had seen this event: https://www.overlandbound.com/event/end-of-summer-bash-2/. I did not schedule this event, but I’m attending. Since you are probably not that far away, thought you might want to consider. It’s always great to meet up with other OB family members.

Thank you, I did see it but i'm working that event. When i head back to work im going to see about taking time off. I'm always down PINS be nice to see SPI and meet some people. Thank you again hope to make it.
 
Welcome! How's the fishing on PINS? I was down there a couple of months ago and have been waiting for the weather to cool down a bit so I can get back.

I havent been out in about 2 months. The water changed real murky and lots of seaweed from a storm that came through. Fishing was a bit of challenge during this time. The water has cleared up a lot more and should be back to normal. Rain has kept me away now lol if the rain clears up on my next set of days off ill be out there. Pompano, Whiting, and sharks are always there but the later months will bring in more drum and redfish in. Ill post a report on this thread when I make it back out there. Try looking up san jose island you get there by a short boat ride from port aransas. Fish off the jetty and you can have the whole beach to yourself most days.
 
Oh yeah, I've done some fishing off the jetty at St. Joe before :) I'm waiting for the blacks and reds to start running in the surf near Big Shell. I'll try to get down there for that in November. Good luck when you get back out there!
