3-4 night camping trip with lots of day trips from the campground. Bear lake is located between the McKinnay/Rubicon trail and Barker Pass at approximately 7500' elevation.
The plan is for an advanced party to get there Thursday August 16th and hopefully get a large dispersed campsite on the west side of the lake, the majority of the people will come in on Friday afternoon and then leave Sunday morning.

Thank you for the invite! I’ll be on an adventure elsewhere during that time though! Hope you have a blast!

I might be able to make this. How large a group are you expecting?

Thank you for the invite but my rig isn't the way i want it will need some time to square away

Thanks for the invite. Wish I could, but I can’t get time off at work right now.

Thank you for the invite but the wife and I are committed to an event we can't get out of. Have fun!!

In case anyone wants to come up late it sounds like we have some people coming up Saturday August 18 for just one night.

Hi Kent, I'd love to join but have a few questions.
We travel with two small kids (3 and 4.5 y/o) and two dogs which makes things slow,
we can leave towards the location on Friday at 3 pm, from Livermore so we can make the campsite towards Friday evening.

Will that work?

Kids not a problem we will put you next to our members with kids. ;-)
As for getting there Friday you need to check google with the GPS coordinates to see how long the drive is. As long as you get there before dark I dont see a problem.
Any questions call me 530-919-7983 leave a message and ill get back to you.
We are starting a Overland Kids program so your input would be helpful.

Hi Kent,
I'm wondering if a stock Tundra will be OK, I'll also have a small Overland Trailer?
Thx.
Stock Tundra as long as its 4 wheel drive no problem trailer no problem at all.

Hi Kent-

Was thinking of meeting up on Friday at Pollock Pines (if I can get Friday off). Was wondering if you will be leading runs on F, S, Sun on the trail system around the lake or if we would be on our own to do this? As I'm not familiar with the area at all and don't really fish.

our plan is to do a trail run Saturday then go out a different way on Sunday.
