Looking for Eastern Sierra Camping Locations

I am looking for some places to camp/explore along the eastern side of the Sierras. Any ideas would be appreciated. I am looking for good locations between Alabama Hills and Bridgeport, where dispersed camping is allowed and I can possibly do some stream fishing.

How about Monache meadows, great place, need high clearance 4x4, a lot didparsed spots along the route to the campground next to the creek, also close to the dam.
