During the Mojave Road trip a couple months back I damaged one of the “skid plates” under my truck. Turns out that even the FX4 model only comes with felt panels in one area.

So I ordered a full kit from RCI Metalworks. 1/4” powder coated aluminum plates. Installed them today - very straightforward.

If any OB members want my old plates (they’re all intact except the tear in the felt per the photo) then they’re free to collect. If no takers then I’ll sell online in a week or so but happy for them to go to a good home here for free.

Really impressed with the new kit and ready for more overlanding!

If you don't mind me asking how much for the whole kit ?

I bought it during their Thanksgiving sale week, and all-in with shipping it was $829. That included a Fumoto valve too.

It would have been cheaper if I didn’t choose the black powder coating but I thought it looked awesome (and it does). The steel option would have been quite a bit cheaper too, but I’m a little conscious of weight and we do enough driving on gritted / salted roads that I didn’t want to worry about corrosion.
