Planning a family overland trip between Xmas and new years. None of the families with rigs I usually travel with are available, so looks like we’re going solo. We travel using a capable full size truck (35s, lockers, winch, armor, etc). We tent camp with dogs, and prefer remote locations with amazing views. Looking to stay within 8hr drive from Sacramento, and not too much snow this trip. All suggestions welcome. Have been looking at Death Valley, Mojave desert, eastern sierras, etc.
