If this has already been posted, sorry. But what gear, stuff, do you folks ALWAYS have in your rigs? I always have highlift jack. Shovel. Axe. Tools. Straps. Chain. Extra oil, water. I sometimes have a tendency to over pack. But you never know when a trip to Walmart can become an all day thing. Just putting it out there to you all for ideas, suggestions. Do's/dont's. Just like I want myself prepared, wallet, cash, knife, multi tool, flashlight, maybe firearm depending on where I'm headed. I like my rig prepared as well.
Thanks
Brian

I added the word "vehicle" to the title to clarify what this thread is about. I also moved it to Rig Q&A, as I previously moved it from Boot Camp to General Discussion without thoroughly reading the topic of discussion. Sorry for the confusion...

Everyday in my Truck which is not my everyday vehicle would be stuff that I use when out exploring:

In the bed box:
- Tow Strap
- Tool Kit
- Chains
- Come along or poor mans winch
- Jumper Cables
- Sand bag
- 1 gallon water
- First aid kit
- 18" Stihl Chain Saw
- Various fluids and oils

On the Bed Rack:
- 3 Gallon Rotopax
- 48" Inch Hi-Lift Jack
- Maxis Trax, not there real one because when I bought them I didn't know what I was doing. Now I am saving for a set of 4 of Maxtraxx

In the Cab:
- 2 Flashlights
- Snack pack of Almonds, Trail Mix, Dried Fruits, Sunflower seeds
- 2 Sets of Gloves
- Booster seat for my son
- Dog blanket

My daily driver is a Mini Countryman JCW so it is pretty much ready to go with commuter type stuff.
