Tools and recovery gear storage

I was roaming Harbor Freight the other day and got an idea for tool storage, bought 2 metal ammo cans with a coupon. They're not bad for the price, have a seal around the lid. Inside 1 is my tools, organized into cloth bags I got on Amazon. The other is some random stuff (plug kit, deflator, air chuck, flexzilla hose, handle for my bottle jack, nozzle for my Jerry can, and I've also got zip ties, electrical tape, meter, Gerber tool).

The ammo cans will go in my roof rack I'm modifying, it's from Heps Designs (ordered through NissTec) I'll have to take the co2 tank out to use it obviously but it gets it out of my little 5' bed. The Jerry can is a Wavian can. Also keep all my shackles, tree saver, tow strap, limb saw, spare winch remote, etc. under my back seat. I've still got my Maxsa recovery boards to find a home for, and my shovel, gonna build some brackets off the basket for those.

Kinda fun finding homes for all this stuff. Thought I'd share, maybe it'll give you an idea about your tool and recovery storage.

Pretty good use of a cheap container. You could get some of the furniture feet felt pads for under the handles on the lid to keep those quiet
