Hey East folks!
Those of you that are unfamiliar with the FJ Northeasters, an independently operated Toyota FJ Cruiser enthusiast and off road club, here is a little back ground and general info on our annual Northeast Run. Although we are located in the Northeast Of the United States, we have membership spanning throughout Southern USA, the Midwest and parts of Canada. 2018 is going to be an exciting year for us as we are celebrating 11 years of active membership since the release of the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser!

Over the years, we have acquired an Internet website and forum with over 850 active members. We also have a Facebook page and an Instagram page (fjnortheasters) boasting over 1000 followers/members combined and are continuing to grow with followers daily. The website and social media pages are helping us gain recognition amongst the off road community. Our members are active in many aspects of off road driving, overlanding, camping snd the general love of the outdoors. Our members attend events all over the United States and Canada. We have grown from a strictly Toyota FJ Cruiser base to now include many different Toyota formats - Land Cruiser, Tacoma, Tundra, 4Runner, mini-trucks as well as some Jeep, Nissan, Suzuki and Hummer models.

Every year we hold our signature event - “The Northeast Run” – which includes a safety class held by certified instructors and a hands on orientation run for new comers which covers the do’s and don’ts of off-roading. We ensure all of our participants are trained on using a high-lift jack and proper winching techniques as well as different types of vehicle recovery and of course, basic trail etiquette. Last year we hosted approximately 160 vehicles and drivers as well as family members and co-pilots. This year, the run will be held from April 26th – April 29th at the Rausch Creek Off Road Park in Tremont, PA and AOAA trails in Coal Township PA.

Occurring on the last evening of our packed weekend and the highlight of the event is our charity fund raiser raffle and dinner. This year we chose ACDA (Alveolar Capillary Dysplasia Association) as our charity to donate to. Alveolar Capillary Dysplasia is a little known and fatal condition affecting newborns and infants.

This is just an informational post for those who are unfamiliar with this group so feel free to check out the fjnortheasters web page and register for our Northeast Run. Your participation will continue to make The Northeast Run one of the premier events of of its kind. This could be a great way to gather more Overland Bound members into one place if you are planning to attend. We hope to see many OB members there.

Thanks
