Question for everyone. Is there a site or location on line I can go to and see an updated status on if a trail is open or not? I would hate to go all the way up to trail and see that it’s closed. I’m looking to see if the canyon that leads up to Idlewild is open or not.

Perhaps trailsoffroad.com, I believe that onX has a new feature to report/request trail status. If there is a ranger station associated with the area you could give them a call or drop by. Recently dropped by a ranger station and found out that part of our route was closed due to fire; they kindly helped us re-route and get on our way.
