I'm attending my God-daughter's HS graduation in Ojai on Saturday the 27th. Will be visiting the town of Solvang later that evening. On Sunday we plan on heading towards the Carizzo Plain. I know it will probably be too late to catch the super bloom, but if there are any cool roads through the Los Padres Nat'l forest to check out running in a north easterly direction from Solvang to Carizzo, I would love to hear about them. We plan to disperse camp Sunday evening and head back to the SF Bay area on Monday morning.
Looking at Google Maps I see Rock Front OHV Area off 166, and there seem to be some forest roads that will eventually bring us close to Soda Lake but would love some local intel if possible.
