  • Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

I'm finishing up doing my dual battery set up on my sequoia. Just waiting for some parts . Looking in to adding a solar panel or something for some added juice. I've seen some that mount on the roof rack panel and even some that are almost flat on the hood . Any suggestions or input would be helpful. Planning on doing longer off grid trips this year

I have a 100ah panel and MTTP controller from Renogy. I think it was about $350 but don't hold me to that. Works fine for charging all my photography/videography/aerial photography batteries and the fridge. Also runs my air compressor too. Now if you want disco lights, boom boxes, coffee machines, you'll need more. I don't. LOL

Good evening bud,
I have a solar setup on my roof rack. It is 3x100 watt solar panels that connect to my Inergy Apex unit. I have a fridge that has been running 24/7 in the Jeep for 3 years now and works awesome. I am also always using mine for when we go camping or tailgating and while on the job site using my power tools.
