The wife and I are headed up to Bentonville, AR the weekend of Labor Day (09/03 - 09/05) and are wanting to take a slow trip back to the D-FW area. We are considering the US-59 through the eastern side of Oklahoma, or possibly the AR State Hwy 59 that runs parallel part of the way, and then get back onto US-59 to the Oklahoma State 259 to Texas. Not really looking to get off road anywhere, but more looking to see something different than the interior of Oklahoma and the I-40 and the US-69. I'd be curious to hear anyone's experience, if you have ever driven any of this route, and how it went.
