If you like ground beef this is the recipe for you! A simple recipe that can feed an army at camp.
Gear necessary for the job
• Gas stove or heat source
• Medium sized cooking pot (Metal)
• Stirring spoon (plastic doesn't scratch)
• Personal eating bowl
• Spork or Spoon
The Recipe
• Ground / Chunk Beef
• Taco seasoning packet (per pot)
• Catalina Red Sauce
• Hint of water (If Beef is too Lean)
• Dorito's chips (Big bag will do fine)
• Extra seasoning of your choice
How it works - (Stir constantly)
• Set the stove on a medium flame
• Mash up the ground / chunk beef in the metal cooking pot
• Start cooking the beef over the burner until it has cooked through
• Add the Taco seasoning packet with spices of your choice
• Add a hint of water if consistency is too dry in the pot
• Once the beef and Taco seasoning has blended and cooked
• Crush up a baggie of Doritos and pour over the seasoned beef
• Mash the concoction up along with a liberal amount of Catalina Sauce
• Shut off the burner and it is finished! (Goes well with a cold brew)
This was a simple camp cooking recipe that I use a lot out in the back country. This recipe doesn't require a whole lot of components and it's very filling. Try it for your self, it's almost better than Del Frisco's!
