So I want to throw my spare tire on the rear of my Range Rover without a steel bumper. I don't have the money nor do I want a big black bumper (I prefer the stock one). I found a couple options (thanks to @BikeHauler) that mount to the hitch (Wilco, Ultra-Swing, and a few others). There was one that stuck out as really nice (Detours of Maine: https://detoursofmaine.com/). I was really interested, and it was about $650 in total (rough numbers). I figured I'd better do my research first to make sure I could get the best offer.

So while doing research....
I found a video (link below) where a guy made a awesome tire carrier (and Jerry can mounts) for his 4Runner and used the stock bumper. I am totally going to look into this and see if I can do it on my RR.

What do y'all think? Worth the risk of cutting into the stock bumper?

Thanks,
Gabriel

Here is a chassis of a P38 Range Rover. Right above the recovery point would probably be great.

Later this weekend I'm going to take the bumper off and see for myself what will work. P38%20Frame~2.jpeg
