Next day I got 5 new 265/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler Ultraterrain AT. This is where I found out about the 1.5" spacers that for the time being I left on which would come back to bite me.

That would be the first drive on the new tires contacted heavy in the right front as I was pulling out of Discount Tire. This is where I had not known that the factory fender flare got dislodged and flew off getting run over and destroyed. Here is how it looked.

Shortly after is when the Jeep went off to get a fresh new 4.7 that was until all thanks to covid started a 11mon delay. So in the mean time I started finding out how hard parts where to locate for the XK compared to other Jeep models. I've been stacking parts this entire time or ordering them having to wait months for them to arrive as they do including today. I'll save showing those parts later. :sunglasses:

Fast forward now as I badly had to replace the front headlight housings as you see they are pretty bad.

Here are the new ones I got...

Honestly had no idea the entire front end had to come off to swap out headlights.

Before :

After: with new fender flare boy are these expensive to replace

Just the other day I had finally had it with the wheel spacers rubbing and discovered the backspacing was correct and not needed. Previous owner wanted that stance look I guess.

Off to Discount Tire once again to have them removed.

Before: (yes I reused a previous pic)

After:

I'm super happy that it no longer rubs full lock to lock. Excuse the yellow pollen balls of death from a larger Acacia tree.

The clapped out suspension from the previous owners mayhem is finally getting removed. I wish I would of taking pics of the carnage of how bad the suspension was when we removed it all.

At first glance the Old man Emu Springs didn't look like much of a lift was going to happen.

Always liked the commanders! Would have had one if I was able to have found one in decent shape with all the options. Great looking truck!
