I’m planning a trip leaving 3/13/2020 at about 4pm from Midwest Ohio in my 2020 TRD 4Runner Off Road Premium, stock chassis and wheels/tires. I have until the following Friday to return. My choices were South Dakota Black Hills area and into Wyoming or travel south to the Georgia Traverse and surrounding states. Wondered if there would be seasonal challenges out West this time of year? Or if it would be worth it given the day of drive time to get out there. I’m new to overlanding but not new to the skills that it encompasses. I’m familiar with route planning due to my time in the Army, I’m an avid backpacker and am familiar with all the logistics required to complete the trip. This will be my first overland trip and solo as well. Your opinions on planning this trip are highly sought after and will be taken into consideration to determine wether I go West or South.
